Hi! My name is Briyanna N. Owens and i'm a second-year student at the University of South Carolina majoring in Biological Sciences. I'm originally from Florence County, South Carolina, but this Spring 2021 semester, I have been blessed to have the opportunity to study away in the U.S. Virgin Islands with the NSE program. NSE, National Student Exchange is a collegiate program that grants undergraduate students accessible study away opportunities at universities away from their home universities at member institutions in the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. With that being noted, my current host institution is the University of the Virgin Islands on the beautiful island of Saint Thomas. I can't wait to see what the island has in store for me!
